Kent Motorsport installed racing seats and racing harness seatbelts in this Ford Fiesta track day car. The owner wanted the seats to be on runners so they can be easily adjusted for different drivers. Race seats are usually fixed in position for one driver.
As a track day car that is also used on the road harness seatbelts are not always practical. By making some brackets that fitted to the seatbelt mounting points the existing OEM seatbelts remain and can be used as normal when driving on the road.
We also installed a rear strut brace. A strut brace connects the strut towers and prevents the chassis flexing during cornering. It makes the chassis more rigid, resulting in better handling. The racing harness is also attached to the brace.
